The clamping jaws open and close, within their clamping range, centrally and continuously, by means of bevel gears (pinions) and the flat spiral. The chuck body is made of cast iron and is equipped with a central lubrication system. The gaskets on the flat spiral and the clamping jaws have been hardened. The flanks of the spiral and the thread of the clamping jaws have been ground on both sides.
